Online orders on Google through a provider

Restaurants can receive online orders for pickup or delivery directly from Google Search, Maps, or the Assistant. Users who search for your restaurant may see an “Order Online” button, which they can tap to view a menu and start their order.

This feature is available to restaurants in Australia, Brazil, Germany, India, and the United States.

Important: This feature is only available to restaurants that work with supported providers to fulfill their online orders.

Local business links are different from the “Order Online” button and can be customized by the business owner. These links may also be automatically added to your Google My Business listing by supported providers.

Editable Features:

  • Remove the “Order Online” button
  • Remove a specific provider behind the “Order Online” button
  • Manage the menu
  • Add links to your Business Profile
  • Remove third-party links

Recommended Configuration: Only allow preferred delivery providers to be connected with the restaurant location’s “Order Online” button and remove all non-preferred providers. If the restaurant location is only promoting native delivery, then remove the “Order Online” button.

Make sure to set the Order and Reservation links “preferred by this business” to native channels (or if this is not available ask the restaurant who the preferred third party is to include here).

The menu links should direct users to a search-friendly menu page on your website. If there is no menu page on your website then you can redirect this to your preferred delivery provider.

Known Supported Providers:

Online Ordering: DoorDash, Postmates, Delivery.com, Slice, ChowNow, Zuppler, Hungr

Reservations: Most major providers. Full list here.

Use the following script to write a letter to Google

Replace all items in { } with relevant information from the client’s ABIS

This would be every link under “Links from third-party providers” that can be seen in Google my Business
